📍 The Woodlands, Isbourne Road, Cheltenham GL52 5QG - supporting adults with a learning disability who may present with challenging behaviour
The Woodlands is an independent service situated in the grounds of Oakley Adult Opportunity Centre in Cheltenham. It is a purpose built day service for adults with learning disabilities including Autism, complex needs and behaviours that can challenge, individuals who may not integrate as well in your traditional social environments.
There are many aims to this service particularly maximising service user choice, independence, and inclusion. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.
📍 Oakley Day Centre (same address as above) - supporting adults with a learning disability.
The Oakley Day Centre is purpose built day service for adults with learning disabilities. It is run as a needs led service, with activities being planned using information gathered through Person Centred Plans.
Examples of current activities are swimming, art and relaxation. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
📍 The Prestbury Centre (same address as above) – supporting older adults and adults with a physical disability.
The Prestbury Day Centre is a purpose built day service within the grounds of Oakley. The primary aims of the service is to provide a safe space to maximise individuals’ choice, independence, and inclusion, whilst using a holistic approach to care and support to provide respite time for families and carers.
In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with social care needs, physical disabilities, and dementia. The expectation is that you will also be required to cover in Oakley when needed.
