Financial assessment and benefits (FAB) team

The team visit individuals in their homes across the county and conduct financial assessments to determine whether people are required to contribute financially towards their care services, and ensure that they are calculated fairly and in accordance with both GCC policies and national government guidelines.

The team also help to ensure that people are in receipt of their full welfare benefit entitlement.

In addition we also financially assess for:

• Adoption allowances
• Fostering allowances
• Special guardianship allowances for children’s services
• Disabled facility grants for both adults and children
