PBS Specialist (Grade 9)

Positive behaviour support (PBS) is a person-centred approach for providing long-term support to people with learning disabilities and autism, including those with mental health conditions, who display, or may be at risk of developing, behaviours of concern (also referred to as behaviours that challenge or challenging behaviour).

Alongside working with individuals to conduct Functional Assessments and to develop Behaviour Support Plans; the PBS Support Specialist supports the PBS team leader to measure and assure the quality of the PBS team, including undertaking day to day supervisory activities and supporting with service development.
