PBS Team Manager (Grade 10)

The Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Service Team Manager is part of the Gloucester Locality Leadership team; however, works across learning disabilities, locality and hospital teams in Adult Social Care.

The PBS Team Manager line manages a team of countywide PBS specialists, PBS assistants and PBS practitioners, taking overall accountability for the performance, quality of work and effective deployment of resources across the team.

The PBS Team Manager encourages the team to work with other professionals and organisations to promote behavioural intervention techniques with the values of normalisation, human rights, and self–determination to deliver effective person-centred support for people whose behaviour is described as ‘challenging’; aiming to enhance quality of life as both an intervention and outcome for people who display behaviour that challenges and those who support them.
