"My job is quite unique in Adult Social Care. I am the Social Work Lead who manages the front door hub for the hospital. The front door hub includes the emergency department at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and duty line admission avoidance to the hospital.
"My day-to-day work is to support the team, to prevent adults who are medically unstable for discharge to be admitted to hospital and support with safeguarding. My team is really multicultural and diverse. The team is really welcoming, really supportive and I believe our team is quite emotionally resilient because we have dealt with a lot of challenges. It’s really rewarding because we support people when they are in a crisis and having the sense of you help them in a really hard crisis to me is really rewarding every day."
