Elmbridge Court Roundabout to Brickhampton Golf Course - Completed September 2024

For information on current roadworks, please click here

Brickhampton Golf Course to Elmbridge Court consists of a two way cycle track on the northern side of the B4063, with a shared use path (i.e., a cycle track people can walk on, not a footway people can cycle on) being used on a small section between Brickhampton golf course entrance and Sandycroft road due to width constraints.

  • Fully segregated two-way cycleway – at widths of between 2 to 3m
  • Buffer to provide a safe physical gap between cyclists and motorists
  • Pedestrian footway – widths between 1.5 and 3m
  • New improved ramped access to private driveways.
  • Carriageway will be narrowed to no less than 3m each way.
  • Bus stop’s location will be a mixture of carriageway and layby to minimise disruption of bus services
  • Priority cycle path crossings at major road junctions
  • New cycle and pedestrian Crossings at key locations

You can also view our 'You Said, We Did' results from the consultation for sections 2-4 between Elmbridge Court Roundabout and Arle Court carried out during spring 2021.

Knights Brown were awarded the contract to complete the works at this section. A meet the contractor event was held at Churchdown Parish Council chambers on Wednesday 14 December and Thursday 15 December 2022.

In order to limit the impact of these works the section of the scheme at Pirton Lane Junction was removed and will be delivered in Spring 2025. Details of this section can be found here Pirton Lane Junction
