£3,000 Youth Job Grants now available

Gloucestershire businesses looking to grow their workforce can now access a £3,000 government grant for recruiting eligible young people aged 18 to 24 who have been out of work and claiming Universal Credit for at least six months.
The Youth Jobs Grant forms part of the Government’s wider Youth Guarantee, which aims to ensure every young person has access to employment, training, education or support to help them progress into work.
The scheme supports genuine paid roles of at least 25 hours per week, for a minimum of 16 weeks, It's also available to all employers, regardless of size or industry sector.
For Gloucestershire employers facing hiring and recruitment challenges, the funding offers a practical way to bring in fresh talent, build skills and offer a real opportunity for young people to get started in the workplace.
Applications are open until 31 October 2028, subject to funding availability.
