One of the strongest themes to emerge this year, was the role of digital technology and cyber security in enabling the future of sustainable aviation. As the industry accelerates towards cleaner, more connected and increasingly autonomous forms of flight, demand is growing for expertise in data, connectivity, digital resilience and cyber security - areas where Gloucestershire already has significant strengths through its cyber ecosystem and the Golden Valley development.
During the week, the Gloucestershire team held discussions with a range of UK and international companies interested in establishing or expanding operations in the UK. Several promising opportunities are now being progressed, with follow-up meetings, site visits and introductions taking place over the coming months.
