Funding for the Voluntary and Community sector
Currently there are three ways of accessing funding from us for your not-for-profit organisation.
1. Procurement:
We will commission services from the voluntary sector through legal contracts in order to provide more secure, longer-term funding (this will normally be a minimum of three years). Commissioning decisions through procurement will be based on service area priorities. Tendering opportunities are available at www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk.
2. Investing:
We will provide investment funding (a form of grant funding) to enable organisations to develop their services to the point where we can meaningfully contract with them for future service provision. Investment funding will be offered on either a short or long term basis on the clear understanding that this is for the development of the service. Directorates will make investment funding decisions that are directly linked to service area objectives.
3. Giving:
We will continue to award small annual grants for specific initiatives. Details will be made available on this website.
