Robinswood House – Currently Under registration Process
Stability. Connection. Hope
Robinswood House is currently progressing through the registration process and will soon open its doors as one of Gloucestershire’s newest children’s homes. The home will support up to four children aged 13 to 17, with a strong focus on helping young people achieve stable, long‑term outcomes such as reunification with family or successful fostering placements.
Built on a trauma‑informed foundation, Robinswood House aims to provide a safe, nurturing home where relationships are valued, emotional needs are understood, and therapeutic support helps young people recover, grow, and thrive.
We are now recruiting the dedicated team who will bring this vision to life.
Robinswood House offers the rare opportunity to be part of shaping culture, routines, and practice from day one. Every member of staff will play a key role in embedding excellence, creativity, and compassion into the heart of the home.

All staff benefit from:

A Collaborative, Child‑Centred Model
Robinswood House works closely with families, foster carers, and other professionals from the very start of each placement. You will be part of a multi‑agency approach that values continuity, communication, and meaningful relationships.
About Robinswood House
Robinswood House is being designed to offer a warm, welcoming, and modern environment where children feel safe, respected, and understood. Each young person will have their own private bedroom, offering comfort and personal space, while shared areas create opportunities for connection, fun, and community.
How We Support Young People: Robinswood House will provide a trauma‑informed environment where children receive tailored support and meaningful therapeutic engagement. This includes:
Trauma‑Informed, Relationship‑Based Care: We prioritise emotional safety, predictability, and trust. Behaviour is understood as communication, and staff respond with empathy, curiosity, and compassion.
Structured Therapeutic Interventions: Young people will have access to targeted work that supports emotional regulation, identity, self‑esteem, and healing from trauma.
Stability and Security: The home will offer consistent routines, warmth, and clear boundaries that help young people feel grounded and supported.
Family‑Centred Practice: Our approach actively supports reunification and fostering plans, involving families and carers from the earliest stages. Staff will contribute to:
- Shared strategies
- Joint planning
- Support for transitions
- Strengthening family relationships
Resilience and Life Skills Building: Young people will be supported to develop confidence, independence, and skills that prepare them for adulthood — from everyday routines to long‑term goals.
