Fostering Panel

The Reviewing Officers and admin team work closely with the service to ensure annual reviews are held in a timely and meaningful manner. The Agency Advisors and Reviewing Officers also participate in a variety of other roles that contribute to the effective operation of the service. 

Where we are based

Fostering Panel is held at Shire Hall on a weekly basis.  Otherwise, we work from home, coming into Shire Hall for meetings when needed.  Foster Carer reviews are held via teams or in office settings by the Fostering Reviewing Officers.

Who we are

Our team is made up of:

Three Agency Advisors, Four Fostering Reviewing Officers, and Three Administrators.

Skills you will need

To join our team as an Agency Adviser or Fostering Reviewing Officer you will need to be a qualified social worker. For all posts in our team, you will need to be hard-working, positive and pro-active, with a good sense of humour.  You will need a post qualifying experience of fostering and regulated services as well as an excellent knowledge of the legislation relating to fostering and children in care.

You need excellent communication skills and the ability to respond and manage complex and challenging discussions and decisions.
