Why join us
Here's what people say about us:
I wanted to send my direct compliments to Michaela on the way that she managed an escalation meeting. She was a very calm and reassuring presence in the room and was able to very confidently and eloquently respond to the complaints of a school, in the absence of the Social Worker. I was impressed at how much skill and tactic Michaela showed, and she effectively managed to resolve the school’s complaint which is clear evidence of her robust safety planning and child focussed intervention with the family.
Thank you Michaela!

"Edge of Care gave help and support to get my daughter back home as she is now back home
It was consistent, readily available and FSW made it work for us as a family rather than sticking to a rigid programme, everyone should be more FSW! She truly was incredible
FSW was amazing, she managed to somehow build a relationship with D whilst also being an incredible support to me- this is very hard to do. She listened to me and made no judgements, she was fantastic with a teenager that was really struggling. FSW helped me completely 360 my approach with D and offered advice and support in times of real crisis. Also, unlike every other service we have used, edge of care offers support around the clock, I didn’t need day to day help, I needed help in crisis points which was sometimes not 9-5, FSW was the only person to give this. An absolute credit to the profession."
"FSW has and was amazing and attentive, Easy to communicate with, always kind and caring and understanding and very attentive.
FSW was a great person to work with, he tried getting through to H, talking out issues but unfortunately to no avail. FSW was very understanding of my situation, and it helped him talking to me. He spoke to H, trying to solve problems, giving him solutions but H didn't want to fully engage."
‘I am so pleased that S is back home now with her parents after 6 months of being a Child in Care. I think that you have all listened carefully to what this young person wants and been focussed on providing the right support for her at the right time. It is has been a difficult piece of work but your attention to detail, cultural awareness and sensitivity has been really outstanding. Jade as IRO you have helped keep of our focus on the voice of the child and her best interests. Michaela your tireless efforts to develop that trust with S and bring her parents through this journey has been a pleasure to watch and really brought the plans into fruition in a timely and child focussed way. Aleykah your progress into social work with S has been wonderful to see, the way the young person values your visits and really trusts you is fantastic.
Thank you, it is really moments like this that make the job worth doing, you have all inspired me in your practice and commitment to this child’s journey.’
