I've submitted my request, what happens next?
In this section
Your request to Gloucestershire County Council will be managed through a standard procedure:
We will acknowledge your request in writing (via email or post, depending on the avenue requested by you). If your request is too broad or unclear, we may ask you to be more specific, which will cause a delay in the processing of your request.
You will be informed of the date by which you can expect to receive a response, which will be as soon as possible and within 20 working days. If there looks like there will be a delay, we will keep you informed of progress.
If no information is held, you will be informed of this as soon as possible. If we do not hold the information requested and we know who does hold it, we may be able to transfer your request to that public authority.
If information is held and is being provided to you, we will provide it in the format you have requested wherever possible. If it is not possible to provide the information in the format you have requested, we will ensure that an explanation of why we were unable to do so is included in our response.
Some information may not be supplied to you; this may be because it is subject to one of a number of exemptions that mean it is withheld from release. If this is the case and an exemption has been used to withhold some or all of the requested information, this will be detailed in our response document along with a breakdown of any exemptions used.
For further information on exemptions, please see the Council’s page on exemption codes
