You have the right to request a review by the council.
To do this you need to put your complaint in writing to us within 40 days of being informed of the decision. Please check the how to frame an effective review guidance before emailing FOI@gloucestershire.gov.uk with the reasons why you wish an internal review of the handling be conducted.
If you remain unhappy with the outcome of your review or any actions taken in dealing with your request, you have the right to direct your complaint to the Information Commissioner for consideration. The contact details of the ICO can be found on our contacts page.
It is important to note that Internal Reviews are not available for all request types; Right to Rectification and Right to Erasure requests are not subject to Internal Reviews. If you are unhappy with the response provided for either of these types of requests, the next step is to appeal to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) directly.
