What can I have erased or restricted?
In this section
You can ask for your personal data to be erased or its use restricted. The right does not apply to all your personal information and there might be occasions when your request is not fulfilled. The right to erasure is sometimes known as the ‘right to be forgotten’.
Restricting your data means asking for it not to be used for specific purposes.
The right only applies to data held at the time the request is received, it does not apply to data that may be created in the future.
To gain further information on the types of information the council may hold, please see our Privacy notices. These inform you of the information we hold, why we hold it, our legal reason for using your information, who it is shared with and how long it will be retained and will differ depending on the services you have, so you may need to look for more than one.
