What are my rights relating to automated decision making and profiling?

Where we use automated decision making and profiling of individuals (without any human involvement), the council will ensure that:

• the processing of the personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract; or
• the processing by this means is authorised by law; or
• we have your explicit consent to do so.

We will make sure that when this type of processing occurs we:

• provide information to you about the processing
• introduce simple ways for you to request human intervention or challenge any automated decisions
• carry out regular checks to ensure that the systems are working as intended
