Record of Processing Activity (ROPA)

The council maintains a Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) via our Information Asset Register (IAR). This information includes:

• Which processing conditions are relied on to ensure data is processed compliantly
• The retention periods of the data

Information Asset Owners (IAO) and Information Asset Managers (IAM) are provided access to the IAR by the Information Management Service. They are responsible for ensuring the IAR is kept accurate and up to date.
