Bledington -The 170th Parish to become Chartered
Bledington is a village in the Cotswold District of the county about 4 miles south-east of Stow-on-the-Wold. It sits on the River Evenlode and is close to the Gloucestershire - Oxfordshire border. The 2001 census recorded a parish population of 503.
The village has a Church, School and an Inn from which Post Office services are run two days a week.
Bledington village green still retains its Victorian Maypole and has ducks that live all around the brook and village green. Traffic through the village is warned of 'ducks crossing'.
