Adult Social Care CQC Assessment

Published

Preparations are underway for the CQC onsite inspection of adult social care services, starting on 2nd September. This site visit will include face to face contact or online meetings with staff and leaders, partner agencies, people who use care and support services, and representative groups.

Planning has been underway for this for some time, including the LGA peer challenge conducted in September 2023, as well as the self-assessment stage in preparation for the inspection. Furthermore, work has been underway to make sure that all relevant processes and information are clear and accessible, and that staff within Adult Social Care are informed and supported. Regular updates are being shared with staff, and fortnightly staff Q&A sessions are underway.

This work aims to present the strengths within the service, as well as demonstrating the ongoing work to raise standards of care.
