Any Of Us – A National Fostering Film
Gloucestershire County Council joined over 80 fostering services across the country to produce ‘Any Of Us’, a short film which aims to raise awareness of the urgent need for more people to become foster carers for their local council and provide nurturing, safe homes for children and young people who need them. ‘Any Of Us’ follows the journey of Chloe, a young person who is entering fostering, and features three very different people she comes into contact with, who all show some of the attributes needed to be a foster carer.
Cllr Stephen Davies, cabinet member for children’s safeguarding and early years at GCC Council said: “'Any Of Us' is a very powerful film because it demonstrates that it really can be any of us who can foster, if you have the capacity to care. We are proud to have helped produce this film and would love to see it shared widely. With the number of children coming into care increasing all the time, we are calling for families, couples, and individuals to contact us now for a no obligation chat about joining our local fostering family, where assessment, training and extensive ongoing support is available to all foster carers.”
The film is just under 3 minutes long - please take a moment to watch it now.
