Build Back Better Youth Fund 2023/2024

Dear Members, 

 

We are pleased to report the Build Back Better- Youth Fund will be continuing from April 2024 - March 2025. An additional £3,000 per Councillor has been allocated to the fund and any unused funds from 23/24 can also be carried forward to be used in 24/25.  The BBB website will be updated to reflect this:

For the Youth Fund 2024/25, we want to continue on the success of last year’s Youth Fund and help Councillors to support local grass root youth organisations.

 

Ø  The Youth Fund intends to support Gloucestershire County Council’s youth agenda for local Children and Young People aged 10-19 years and up to 25 for care leavers and those with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The Youth Fund will need to be seen to benefit young people and teenagers.

 

The Youth agenda:

o   Stopping anti-social behaviour

o   Reducing Substance Misuse

o   Teenage pregnancies

o   Keeping young people safe

o   Developing New Skills

o   Engaged in Education, Training, or Employment

 

Ø  The process will remain the same, the application form has a Youth Fund tick box which will allow you to decide if you want to use your Youth Fund or ‘main’ BBB fund. Please ensure applications are submitted directly from you, the supporting Councillor, so that your endorsement of the project is clear.

 

Ø  Once the application has been received to the mailbox, we endeavour to advise the applicant if they have been successful or request further information about their application within 28 days.  However, if further information is needed the response time may exceed this.

 

Ø  Once an application has been approved and the organisation has returned the grant acceptance form, the GCC standard 30-day payment terms apply to processing the grant payment.
