Gloucester City Council Polling Stations Review
Gloucester City Council has commenced a review of its polling districts and polling places in readiness for the next scheduled elections in 2024 and invites stakeholders to comment on existing arrangements, as well as putting forward any proposals for alternative arrangements. Please note that we intend to carry out a further interim review to take account of the Gloucestershire County Council boundary review post-May 2024.
The consultation runs until 12 November and we are required to publish all comments and consultation responses received.
As part of the review we will be assessing every existing polling station, as well as any alternative suggestions, to ensure that as far as is reasonable and practicable, polling stations are accessible to all electors, and consider the needs of disabled persons.
Information on the review, including the formal Notice, maps showing existing polling districts and stations, a list of polling stations and details of how to respond to the consultation are available on our website Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places - Gloucester City Council. The (Acting) Returning Officer for the Gloucester Constituency will publish their comments or existing arrangements part way through the consultation period.
Please do not hesitate to contact Tanya Davies (Tanya.Davies@gloucester.gov.uk) if you have any questions about the review.
