Grassroots Neighbourhood Fund progress update and reminders
Gloucestershire County Council’s Grassroots Neighbourhood Fund gives each county councillor up to £20,000 to invest in local projects that improve health, wellbeing and community resilience.
Since launching in October 2025 the fund has seen strong interest, with more than 200 full applications received for projects across the county.
Members are encouraged to continue putting forward projects and not to delay allocating their funding. While applications are being processed as quickly as possible, it can take time to complete the necessary checks and approvals, so please allow for this when planning activity.
The scheme remains open, with a current closing date of Friday 15 January. Members should plan ahead to ensure their funding is fully allocated before the deadline.
The fund continues to support a wide range of local initiatives across the county, including:
-
£3,000 awarded to support a Youth Manager role at Brockworth Link Youth Club
-
£2,500 awarded to Abbeymead Rovers walking football group
Members are welcome to use the poster provided to make people in their communities aware of the available funding.
