Highways Compliments
There is never a quiet week in Highways and while we’re busy delivering a wide range of services across the county, we don’t always take time to share the positive feedback we’ve received. We pay close attention to all feedback, especially as we monitor customer satisfaction during the Highways Transformation Programme - we are striving to continuously improve our service. Here are some recent comments sent by email and social media:
Resurfacing of Pirton Lane:
‘The resurfacing team have been excellent - listening to residents concerns and enabling access at all times. I thought it really important to say this - people are so quick to criticize but not so quick to say thank you!’
‘Thanks for the resurfacing of Pirton Lane not only has this provided a wonderful new surface but also sorted a drain issue that has been ongoing for years so win/win!! I must say how good the guys were in carrying out the job - they kept an access to Yew Tree Way at all times and were happy to give daily updates so excellent!’
Surface dressing work:
‘I wanted to take an opportunity to express my commendation and thanks to [Highways team member], who handled our urgent request for a deferral of the work professionally, sympathetically and most efficiently.’
Resurfacing - A419 Bristol Road:
‘I would just like to say thank you to everyone last night who made it possible for me and my daughter to get back to our home safely. They are doing a great job.’
‘I would be grateful if you could pass to those involved my thanks and congratulations on what appears, to me, to have been an excellently planned and executed piece of work... It must be difficult to plan when you have so much work to do but for me, at least, it was worth the inconvenience.’
Fix My Street social media comment:
‘I used this only this week. They sent 3 emails updating me and came round within 2 hours of my reporting and sending a photo. If your report is not deemed urgent or a hazard maybe it will take longer but I could not fault the service. They will do a temporary fix to ensure safety and assess then return to complete depending on requirements. Highways were excellent.’
Fix My Street is the fastest way to report an issue and get it to the relevant team to investigate. To report an issue with roads, paths, public rights of way, streetlights, grass verges, traffic lights and more, please use the interactive map at Fix My Street.
Next week we will share information about the next phase of our resurfacing programme.
