January’s Families in Partnership newsletter for families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Published

The January edition of the monthly Families in Partnership newsletter is now available and has information on the latest news for our families with SEND in Gloucestershire. The newsletter covers topics SEND families tell us, and our partner organisations, are important and that keeps families aware of the website Gloucestershire’s Local Offer, Support for Families with SEND.

 In this issue we have information about the Annual SEND Fair run by our close strategic partners Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum on Monday, 9 February 2026.  Other articles include:

  • a summary of the most recent SEND and Inclusion Local Area Partnership (SILAP) board, to keep children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their families aware of what was discussed and what’s happening next;

  • Details of a new Parent Carer Guide for the new Annual Review for Education, Health and Care Plans, which has been co-produced with SENDIASS and the Forum;

  • Signposting to information and activities in the coming weeks and how the SEND space in Gloucestershire is supporting those events and SEND families

If you’re reading this newsletter for the first time, we hope you find it useful.  If there is a change we should make; or if you would like something to be featured; or if you have any questions then please  email us - familiesinpartnership@gloucestershire.gov.uk

If you are part of a SEND family, please subscribe to the monthly Families in Partnership newsletter. Please tell all those in your communities, who may find the newsletter useful too.
