March’s Families in Partnership newsletter for families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
The March edition of the monthly Families in Partnership newsletter is now available and has information on the latest news for our families with SEND in Gloucestershire. The newsletter covers topics SEND families tell us, and our partner organisations, are important and it keeps families aware of updates on Gloucestershire’s Local Offer, Support for Families with SEND.
In March’s issue we have an article on updates from the Children’s Autism and ADHD Assessment Service, in response to feedback received from our annual parent carer survey. Given the time of year, there is a guide to inclusive activities for the April holidays including details of inclusion for children and young people with SEND as part of the HAF and HAP programmes. The newsletter also has details of awareness events in the coming weeks and how the SEND space in Gloucestershire is supporting those events. This edition also includes another update from the SEND and Local Area Inclusion Partnership Board, which was the most popular article in the previous edition.
All in addition to Gloucestershire County Council’s welcome of the Government’s announcement of additional investment to support children and young people with (SEND), recognising that the reforms build on strong foundations already in place locally, which is featured in the news article.
