Member Development: Anti-Slavery Briefing
As part of the ongoing Member Development Programme, we will be running a training session on Anti-Slavery on Tuesday 7 May 2024 between 10am and 12pm.
The session will be delivered by Hilary Agg, Anti-Slavery Partnership Coordinator at Unseen UK, via Teams
Unseen UK will be providing insight into Modern Slavery in the UK and the statutory duties held by local authorities to identify and offer support to victims. The session will cover the legal landscape, typology, prevalence, and presentation of Modern Slavery alongside steps that professionals can take to identify and respond to the crime. The presentation will draw on Unseen’s experience of delivering frontline support to survivors of Modern Slavery along with data from the UK Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline.
