Member Development: Dementia Awareness: Change of Location
When: 10th September 2024, 2.30-4.30pm
Where: In-person in the Cranham Meeting Room, Block 1/ Floor 2 at Shire Hall. There is no hybrid option available due to the nature of the session.
What: The Dementia Education Team are offering Members an opportunity to learn more about dementia, including how to reduce your risk, signs and symptoms, common types of dementia, how to get a diagnosis and what support is available for people affected by dementia.
Why: In Gloucestershire it is predicted that there are around 11500 people living dementia, however only 6300 have been diagnosed. The Dementia Education Team are focused on improving the knowledge and skills of people working and supporting people with dementia, including training to families and carers.
