Share your thoughts on Healthwatch Gloucestershire
We want to hear your views to ensure that we design and commission a Healthwatch that is right for you in the future.
Healthwatch Gloucestershire is the consumer champion for people who use health and social care services in the county.
What does Healthwatch do?
- Give information, advice and support about access to health and care services to help people make informed choices.
- Gather views and experiences of people who use services, their carers and the wider community.
- Make local people’s views known to organisations which arrange or provide these services and recommend how they could be improved.
- Promote and support local people to get involved in decisions about local health and social care services.
- Recommend to Healthwatch England or the Care Quality Commission the areas of concern that local people would like to be investigated.
What we want to know
Although local Healthwatch is independent, each local authority has to design and commission its own service.
The current contract is coming to an end in March 2024 and we want to commission a local Healthwatch that harnesses the knowledge and strengths of our communities, uses technology to make health and social care information easy to find, and influences the way services are provided.
