Top up for the Build Back Better Councillor Scheme

An additional £530,000 has been invested into Gloucestershire County Council’s Build Back Better Councillor Grant Scheme.

This decision was taken by Cabinet in September 2023. You can find out more about this here.

This means each County Councillor now has an additional £10,000 available to invest into their communities for the purposes of levelling up.

• This top-up will be allocated in the same way as existing Build Back Better funding and the eligibility criteria and application form will remain unchanged.
• The top-up, as with the rest of the Build Back Better funding, must be allocated by January 2025 (please note, the Youth Fund remains separate and must be allocated by January 2024).
• All Councillors will be sent a statement email outlining how much of their funding has been allocated and how much funding they have remaining, inclusive of the additional £10,000.
