Data and Intelligence Strategy 2024–2028

The Gloucestershire County Council Data and Intelligence Strategy is not a one-off portfolio of work: it is an ongoing journey. We must continually respond to new challenges, adapt to emerging needs, and harness new data resources and technologies. Our approach is summarised below:

  Building a data-driven culture is essential. We will empower staff at all levels, encourage collaboration, and invest in upskilling to foster innovation through data.

  By investing in a modern data platform, we will ensure secure data sharing, advanced analytics, and machine learning capabilities. This will help us move from raw data to actionable insights.

• Strategy and Governance:

  Strong data governance frameworks will underpin our approach, ensuring data is managed securely, ethically, and in compliance with all regulations.
