Food Waste: It All Adds Up

Published
A campaign has been launched aimed at encouraging people in Gloucestershire to reduce their food waste, save money and help the environment. Find out more.

Gloucestershire councils have launched our latest campaign on food waste that will run through to July.

The campaign simply asks residents to reduce their food waste as much as possible and recycle the rest!

The campaign will include:

  • Free low waste cookery classes for residents (more coming soon)
  • A video explaining the food waste recycling process (Launch March / April)
  • A booklet about food waste that will be sent to all households (Launch April)
  • Public engagement with a temporary staff team to talk to residents about food waste recycling (launch May)

Please help the campaign by:

  • Spreading the word through your networks and teams
  • Sharing social media posts from district or county council
  • Talking to residents about food waste and encouraging them to help spread the word
  • Subscribing to our newsletters on waste and climate
  • Finding out more on our website gloucestershirerecycles.com/food
