County council elections – 1 May 2025

With county council elections taking place on 1 May 2025 the county and district councils are working together to raise awareness of the associated key dates. Read more.
The support of town and parish councils in highlighting these key dates within the communities they serve will help to heighten awareness of the democratic process and associated key dates.
To help councils to promote these elections, the Electoral Commission has produced a range of engagement resources. In the run up to the elections, the county and district councils will be using these across their various digital platforms and town and parish councils are encouraged to do the same.
