Help keep your community safe from flooding

Are you interested in helping your community? Do you enjoy walking round your local area? Then being a volunteer flood warden may be the ideal role for you.

Whether you want to spend more time outdoors, meet like-minded people, help communities prepare for emergencies, or even add some voluntary experience to your CV, this role has lots of unique opportunities.

Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC) are recruiting flood wardens on behalf of the local authorities in Tewkesbury Borough, Stroud District, Cotswold District, and Cheltenham Borough.

This role involves monitoring local watercourses, raising awareness of flooding in the community, and more! You will also get the opportunity to attend four flood warden meetings per year, as well as a training and induction session.
