From 1 April 2022, Future Me Gloucestershire is moving onto a new phase.

The original county council transformation grant that funded the project from 2018 – 2021 has come to an end. We now look to secure a more sustainable model to continue this important work into the future.

The Future Me project saw phenomenal gains made. We developed and promoted widely the brand and objectives of Future Me Gloucestershire, in large part thanks to the hard work of 12 Youth Representatives who worked on the project.

We are now in the position to bring Future Me Gloucestershire out of the project phase and into a more sustainable and permanent footing focused on ensuring children and young people with SEND have a voice and are heard. We retain one Engagement and Participation Officer to manage outreach and consultation work, so that we continue to record and share the views of children and young people with SEND and elevate their voices on topics that are central to successful Preparation for Adulthood.
