Gloucestershire's special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and inclusion strategies 2022-25
These are Gloucestershire strategies and together with the Government’s Special Educational Needs and Alternative Provision Green Paper are designed to improve the lives and experiences of children and young people with SEND and their families.
What are the Inclusion and SEND strategies?
The two separate strategies have built on the work from the current Joint Additional Needs Strategy which was developed collaboratively with parents, young people and health and social care partners. They have been produced together, to make sure that we take a joined-up approach to address the rising level of need in all settings.
They share common goals to ensure that:
- Locally we grow together and work collaboratively in a structured way with a shared vision that works in the best interests of children and young people
- Local funding is supporting earlier identification and intervention and that we address barriers that prevent access to earlier intervention
- Local specialist support is of high quality and available when its needed

How can I find out more and provide feedback?
You can find out more about the proposed strategies by joining one of our webinars, where you can ask questions and give feedback. There will also be an online form for feedback available on the webpage soon.
