Support for families with SEND - update April 2023

The development of Support for Families with SEND, Gloucestershire’s Local Offer as part of the redesign of the GlosFamilies Directory, has continued at pace, with the latest draft version of the redeveloped platform looking great.
We’re reviewing the content on Gloucestershire’s Local Offer, updating information, and developing video and media content to add to pages across Support for Families with SEND.
We’ve also been engaging with Parent Carers at the SEND Information Fair run by the Parent Carer Forum in February and via Parent Carer Coffee mornings since then. This engagement was really helpful. It was great to hear from parent carers about their experiences using the Local Offer, what information and features might be useful in future.
It gave us a great opportunity to show some examples of the updated platform and gather feedback on how the redeveloped GlosFamilies Directory is looking so far. Parent Carers were also given the opportunity engage directly and be involved sharing their feedback on how the platform is working before the new platform is launched.
As we get closer to the launch, we’re planning to make sure we reach out and promote what’s going on; we’ve been developing promotional information and will be looking to get out to see you in the community once the site is fully redeveloped, to show parent carers, children and young people, and practitioners the platforms new design, changes and developments.
