The Atlus School - transforming alternative provision

Published
We’re delighted to announce the proposal to combine the alternative provision schools (Gloucester and Forest APS and Severn Valley APS) into a single county-wide school has been approved by Cllr Phil Robinson. This will come into effect from 1 September 2023.

It will be called The Altus School, which means ‘to nourish, grow or rise above’ and was chosen by staff and pupils at the alternative provision schools.

Emma Gundry, currently Principal at the Voyage Learning Campus in North Somerset, will join us as Director of Alternative Provision and will lead on the transformation needed to create a consistent, county-wide provision.
