Life Skills Forum for late April

The Employment and Skills Hub run short life skills and employability workshops, Life Skills Forum, for groups of eight young people. The next workshop starts on the 22 April and there are details below of the exciting programme and how to sign up. The groups take part in a number of activities:

1. They answer a scavenger hunt to learn about specific places in Gloucester that could offer them different kinds of support.

2. Young Gloucestershire lead a session on how what you eat affects your health.

3. They volunteer at Gloucester Food Bank, sorting donations.

4. They learn about Positive Relationships from Stroud Women’s Refuge.

5. The participants make enchiladas with Wiggly Kitchen and discuss wellbeing and self-care. 

The group finishes the week by discovering their strengths and weaknesses and engaging in an enthusiastic and energetic mock interview session, supported by colleagues from all over the council.  If you or your young person thinks this workshop sounds interesting and valuable , then please sign up for the next workshop taking place from Tuesday 22nd April until Friday 25th April.
