Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum’s role within quality assuring EHCPs
From September we will be working more closely with Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum (GPCF) to ensure that children and families’ voices continue to be heard and embedded as part of our work for children with special educational need and disabilities.Â
In line with the testing of the Government’s Change Programme Partnerships (CPP) and our SEND Improvement plan, GCPF will join the multi-agency partnership in two key areas: where children and young people are in the process of an Education, Health, Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) or where an Education, Health and care plan (EHCP) is in place.
In contributing to this work, GPCF will provide constructive support and challenge to ensure children and families views are included and central to the development of the plan, with decision making on providing an EHCP being maintained by professionals.Â
Working with GCPF is integral to ensuring we continue to listen and improve. This is a key part of our improvement journey and will ensure that our children remain at the heart of what we do.Â
To make this important piece of work happen, we are updating our privacy notice and contract for working with GPCF to ensure that GDPR regulations are fully met. The protection of your data is important to us, and you can find out more about how we work with multi-agencies to keep your data safe here.
