Support for Families with SEND, Gloucestershire’s Local Offer – updates

Over the last few months, we’ve been working to update, develop and co-produce information across Support for Families with SEND with more to come.
Since the redevelopment and relaunch of the GlosFamilies Directory in September, we’ve been looking to improve and develop information across Support for Families with SEND, Gloucestershire’s Local Offer, and Future Me, the Young Persons Local Offer.
Following feedback from Parent Carers, we’ve been working on how we can make information about Travel & Transport more straight forward to follow – to this end, we’ve been developing the content and have created two flowcharts which take you through the special educational needs travel enablement (pre 16 and post 16) and independent travel training.
We are working on continuing to improve the information on the Travel & Transport Page with our co-production partners.
In addition to this content we’ve also been working with our co-production colleagues in the Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum and Gloucestershire Young Carers, partners in the Department of Work & Pensions, Finance and Benefits Team and other organisations to develop the new Money and Financial Support category in Gloucestershire’s Local Offer.
This is in response to feedback from parents who told us it was hard to find information around benefits, money and financial support. The content has been co-produced and we will keep it under review to make sure it's what you need.
