Calling all Young Carers to share your views - Young Carers Survey
We know that there are lots of children and young people who help to look after family member day to day. The feedback young carers provide will help to shape future services and support for young carers across the county.
Young carers provide care for someone facing challenges such as:
• Physical disability or sensory impairment
• Long-term illness
• Mental health issues
• Problematic drug and/or alcohol misuse
• Learning difficulties
Young carers often have more responsibilities than other young people, which can be challenging. Others might not understand what they do, and they can have less free time their peers. However, many young people cope well with caring, especially if they have the right support.
The questions in this survey are designed to help us to understand how young carers can be best supported across the county.
There are separate questionnaires for schools, parents, young carers aged 8-15 years and young adult carers aged 16-24 years. Your feedback will help us to develop the service going forward. Click on the links below to complete the survey applicable to you:
