SAND academy trust confirmed sponsor of new special school in Stroud for September 2023

SAND Academies Trust are delighted to have been appointed as the sponsor responsible for the opening a new school in Stroud.
The new 60-place special school will support primary aged children from across the county with moderate and additional learning difficulties (MALD) and open in the former Severn View Primary School building in Stroud in September 2023.
As part of the statutory duty, SAND MAT is required to carry out a public consultation under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010, to determine whether the Trust should enter into a Funding Agreement with the Department of Education.
The consultation will allow students, parents and carers, staff and governors from local schools, local authorities, councillors, local residents and any other interested stakeholders to learn more about SAND Academies Trust's plans for our new school and share their views.
The consultation period is running between 14 November and 30 December, with public meetings being held on the 28 Nov and 5 Dec.
