It’s been a busy autumn for Gloucestershire Young Carers, and they wanted to share their latest news and developments with you.

30th Anniversary Celebrations

Gloucestershire Young Carers (GYC) celebrated their 30th Anniversary on 21st September, bringing together young carers past and present at an event at Llanthony Secunda Priory.

Young Carers shared how GYC was helping them, with a new film about Gloucestershire Young Carers shown at the ceremony, and demonstrated their new website to those in attendance.

They also welcomed people involved right from the beginning with Gloucestershire Young Carers, sharing the experiences and the journey since its initial inception.

You can find out more about the ceremony, through their article on the Gloucestershire Young Carers website, which has been recently redeveloped and is looking great.

30 for 30 Challenge

During the ceremony, another big focus was on fundraising opportunities for Gloucestershire Young Carers via their new 30 for 30 challenge, which aims to raise ÂŁ30,000 for the 30 years of the organisation working with children and young people who are carers around Gloucestershire.

You can find out more about 30 for 30 Challenge by reading their flyer and can support Gloucestershire Young Carers through their support webpage.

New ways of getting help for young carers

As of the 9th October, Gloucestershire Young Carers has started to accept referrals using the webform on their new website.

If you have any questions about how this works, need any support or any other queries, you can get in touch with the team via their phone number 01452 733060 or via email: mail@glosyoungcarers.org.uk
