Support available over the festive period
While the festive period can be a great to meet with friends and family, it can be really challenging for families particularly with the increased cost of living through winter.
In this issue of Families in Partnership, we already featured the Family Fund which provide can a Funding Grant Support for Families of Disabled Children and Holidays Activities and Food Programme for winter which is running in early January, to help with keeping children in Gloucestershire entertained with free activities, happy and healthy.
The Support Hub is a useful resource which provides links to helpful information and advice and with the tools you need to save money, look after your mental health and wellbeing and conserve energy. You can find out more information about what can help and eligibility by visiting their webpage.
If you and your family are struggling for meals, you can also access Foodbanks across Gloucestershire which are ran by charities, local and district authorities and community around the county, when times are really tough and it’s hard to put food on the table.
In addition to the above, also keep in mind you can find low cost or free activities via either the GlosFamilies Directory or through You’re Welcome, which provides comprehensive information around inclusive activities across Gloucestershire, through December and beyond.
