Holiday Activities and Food Programme

Published
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme is returning this winter during the school holidays to help keep children in Gloucestershire happy, healthy, and entertained with free activities.

What is HAF?

The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, funded by the DfE, is returning once again this winter to provide enriching activities as well as delicious and nutritious food during the winter holidays. HAF activities are available for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals. This winter we are also able to extend this offer to any child who may benefit from attending the programme, through our grant funded Holiday Activities Programme (HAP). For more information, click here to visit our website.

When can I get involved?

From 12pm on 2 December, families will be able to book activities using our Children Activities Booking System (CABS). Activities will be available throughout the summer holiday period. Activities will be marked HAF, HAP, or both. Register for our booking system.

Accessibility and inclusion

All our HAF activity providers have been working hard to make activities accessible. This year, each provider has their own ‘All About Us’ which you can find on your district HAF websites. This includes more information about the provider, venue, activity and staffing, should you require any further information prior to booking.

In addition to this, there is also an opportunity for your child to share ‘All About Me’; an online form where you will be able to put in more information about your child and any additional needs that may need to be met on the day, so that the provider can ensure your child’s needs are met.

If you ever feel you require further information before booking an activity, we encourage you to get in touch with the activity provider who will be happy to help. All contact details should be available on the activity booking page.
