Update: childcare choices for working parents

Published

The term after your child turns three, and all four year olds, are entitled to receive 15 ‘universal’ hours per week, no code is needed to access this.

There are alternative schemes for working parents.

A child of working parents is entitled to funded childcare when the child has reached the relevant age, is under compulsory school age and the child’s parent(s) meets the eligibility criteria.

Parent(s) can apply for the Working Parents Entitlement funded childcare, via the Childcare Choices website, 16 weeks before their child is eligible to receive funding.

You must ensure that you apply for your code before the following termly deadline dates:

  • 31 December - to claim funding in the spring term
  • 31 March - to claim funding in the summer term
  • 31 August - to claim funding in the autumn term

More Details on how to apply can be found  here : How to apply for help with childcare for working parents | Childcare Choices.
