Be more carer aware
Are you a professional who meets unpaid carers on a daily basis? Would you like more information on the services and support we offer?
Why not come along to our professionals week between 7th and 11th March 2022.
Our Carer Aware week includes information on our services and details about who we are and what we do for Carers across the County.
There will be short sessions on:
- Our referral process and how Carers can access support.
- The role of Carers Champions within Adult Social Care.
- Looking at the Carer holistically and support planning.
- Discover what YouCan is and how it can support Carers.
- Information on the Parent Carer Forum.
- What is Carers Week 2022 and an outline of our planned events.
- Find out more about our community support and what the Carer Aware offer includes.

Free training, skills and development for carers
The Gloucestershire Carers Hub has an array of courses available to Carers on a weekly basis. These sessions are free to access and include various topics and types of sessions. You can access these sessions as little or as often as you like.
Our sessions are run throughout the day and evenings, they are accessible through the Zoom platform. If anyone struggles to use this platform we have staff available to support with accessing the sessions available.
Our free sessions are open to all registered Carers and the individuals which they support if they would like to come along to.
Our sessions include:
- Shibashi Qigong
- Seasonal yoga
- Tai Chi
- Yoga Nidra
- Fitness classes
- Poetry group
- Craft workshops
- Coffee mornings
- Girl with the curly hair training
- Chair based boogie
- Condition specific training and information sessions
- Wellbeing sessions
and more!
If you would like to join in with the sessions you must be registered with the Gloucestershire Carers Hub to enable access to the wide variety of free sessions available.
