The Library – Saturday Clubs

Published
Free activities for young children and their families are being held across the county on regular Saturdays.

‘Saturday Clubs’ is an exciting initiative hosted by Gloucestershire Libraries offering free cultural opportunities to families across the county. Running monthly in 30 libraries, early years children, their caregivers, and siblings can take part in a huge variety of activities and sessions designed to support physical development, reduce social isolation, strengthen family relationships, and have fun! Previous sessions have seen families go on imaginative movement adventures, explore different cultures through music and craft, and even get bendy with yoga!

This season (Jan-Mar ’24) is all about animals, and there’s sure to be something for everyone. A jam-packed programme includes mosaic making, exploring real musical instruments, learning about the Malaysian Sun Bear, and so much more.

Tickets are free, and available by clicking here. More events are added every month, so please keep checking back!

We would love to ensure these opportunities are open to all families from all communities, and would love if you could please share with families you work with, and assist them to book their tickets if you can. Help to book is also available via library staff.

Library membership and Saturday Club attendance is always free, and our mission is to show families that everyone is welcome in their local library, and have fun doing it!
