Annual Parent Carer Survey – update and next steps

Published
In October’s newsletter, the SEND & Inclusion Local Area Partnership (SILAP) launched a comprehensive survey to gather parent carers’ experiences of provision and services within education, health and care. The survey closed on December 8th with 422 completed responses.

This was a fantastic response and huge thanks to everyone who responded. The information shared will help SILAP better understand how to make continuous improvement to the services and Local Offer for children and their families.

What happens next?

A co-production group with representatives from Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum, SENDIASS, education, health and care services are now in the process of analysing the feedback received and identifying key themes from the views and experiences shared.  This group will report to SILAP with learning and recommendations for the local area as well as specific service areas. The feedback will also inform the local area improvement plan which has been developed from your feedback and the SEND Inspection.

A report of the findings and recommendations will be shared in Families in Partnership newsletter.

In the meantime, you can view here, the current priorities and progress with how SILAP are improving SEND and Inclusion services for children and families.
